Software Synthsiser Interface DesignXenia by The Usual Suspects (DSP56300)2026 Interface redesign for Xenia, an open source software synthesiser by The Usual Suspects (DSP56300) that emulates the Waldorf Microwave II/XT through bit-accurate chip-level emulation. Following the same design approach as minimalJE, the aim was to bring a contemporary, non-skeuomorphic aesthetic to a complex, parameter-rich interface whilst keeping all controls intact and accessible. A new patch selector dial inspired by the iconic data wheel of the original hardware was added as a functional element. The logo was redrawn to reflect the new name whilst preserving the distinctive character of the original Microwave II/XT logo.
